The Importance of Vocational Education in India
India has made a big mistake by focusing on degrees, not vocational education. A lot of young people in India are 'not employable' They don't have fluent English and haven't got the skills to get jobs. The government is trying to push vocational education with its Skills India mission. Whether that's going to happen will be the key to whether this huge population is a demographic dividend or a disaster.
