Research tells us that we as humans are really bad at perspective taking and instead we actually need to do some perception perspective seeking. So one of the reasons is so we can seek that perspective from multiple stakeholders within a space together because some people need different things than others. People are more likely to be invested in something that they had a hand in creating as well.
