Jeremiah - Chapter Three

In Jeremiah, the author seems to assume that it's absolutely fine for him to hate what has happened. Nowhere in the book does anybody apologize for being sad or being upset. The God who was consistent enough to carry out this righteous, if very, very painful judgment will also be consistent enough to follow through on his promise to redeem one way or another.
