Central Bank Digital Currency - Should They Coexist?
The question was, with the rise of central bank digital currency, does that mark the end of privatized stablecoins? Will there be no need for them? And like Tether, USDC and those kinds of things. I said to them, absolutely not. They could be decreed away by law. But just if you take away the regulatory aspect of it, and you just say, should they coexist, can they coexistence, or exist? It's absolutely the case that they should. That idea goes back at least 50 years.
