What a Great Journey, From Computer Science to Medin Communications?
I began a long time ago in computer science. After my computer science degree, i went to m i t for a masters ree in technology policy. Then i worked at the world wide web consortium, continuind to do policy on things like privacy and copyright issues. I was really intrigued by blogs and these new forms of oilline communication in wickis so i a i went back to graduate school. And there i ended up writing my dissertation about wickipet, about its history and about its culture. That ced my current career of being a communication study scholar who is interested in online community culture as well as looking at it from historical point of view.
