They decided that a national march should be held to protest against violence by white Mississippi officials. The group of young activists who joined them skipped We Shall Overcome because they didn't want to sing it. "I'm not for that non-violent stuff anymore," one marcher shouted during the march. 'We don't sing those words anymore'
