The Importance of Spin in Golf

I hit a beautiful wedge shot that was probably in the running of the best shots that I hit all day. It landed like five feet left of the flag and it ended up like 15 feet away. The thing about Augusta is when you're a yard and a half off the green, you don't really want to put it around your putter because you have to hit it through the rye. And then it gets on the green andthen it's lightning fast? Like the difference in speed from fringe to green is insanely different.
