Industry and Engineering Colleges: What Can We Do to Improve?

I think basically everybody's got all the universities with which I'm affiliated or have had interactions do really well in interacting with industry. Industry supports maybe a doctoral student, an employee to come in and work at the university while they're still doing part-time day work at the company. It becomes this very integrated experience for these students. We because of intellectual property barriers and the like in the United States, we're terrible at this but I see how impactful it is over there.
