The Unification Church Theology Is That You Can Cure Your Misfortune in This Life
The unification churches believe that if you have some sort of misfortune in this life including sicknesses they can be cured by liberating your ancestors and part of that is the payment which we discussed. They do a ceremony called Ansu where people beat each other while singing songs all in unison to cure them of illness or homosexuality. The degree to which like you're kind of striking the other person is not known but I think it would depend on who sat in front of it.
