The Importance of Appealing to White Moderates
In the 1960s, MLK was all about appealing to moderates. Even as disappointed in them as he was, he knew that they were the key. I think those are the lessons that I take from past civil rights movements when I think about transgender acceptance generally. you've got to win the average person. You've got towin the median voter who maybe is not always your friend but may be comfortable with trans people.
