Casa Pueblo, a Community Based Organization Dedicated to Educating Local Communities

The town closest to the forest is called ad juntas. It was home to casa pueblo, a community based organization that focused on sustainable development and protecting the land. The main threats were mining and logging. Ramona made a point to bring her students there every year to learn strategies for how to protect the rest of their community.
