The Canadian C-Spine Rules Explained
The Canadian C spine rules do actually kind of clarify what that means. Can you call from higher than three feet or fall on the steps or any axial load to the head like in diving? Any motor vehicle accident or high speed motor accident where someone wasn't ejected or crashed, a bicycle collision is also considered a vehicle accident. If they hit all five of those, they don't need radiographs. The one that this patient hit was that he had midline tenderness. He had that focal mid and lower neck pain that was ranging from a two to a seven. But again, if you were strictly applying this criteria, radiographs would be ordered.
