The Shadow of the Torture

The color is so dark that it reflects zero light. You can't see the folds of the cloak. It's just black. So why on the cover do they draw the folds though? Because that person did not read the story too well, or does not understand the impact of what they're talking about here. The idea that the torturers are so dark that they move constantly within shadow and that that is part of the mystique of their guild is all determined by this guild cloak color. People instantly recognize throughout the book as associated with death and tortures.
