How Do You Change the Lighting in a Scene?

When you look at a scene in the script and then you think about the space that you want to shoot it in, whether it's a location or a set. Then what comes into that as well is, right, if it's a daylit scene and you want it be window lights, then you have to figure how do you want that scene lit? What's the relationship of the blocking as it might be? Because it's not always exactly what you're thinking. You know, I've been in those situations.
