The Significance of Ezekiel's Vision
The message of Ezekiel is very, very simple. It isn't Marduk on the throne even though we're sitting here by the river Kavar and Babylon. It's Yahweh of Israel. Anyone, whether they're a Jew or a Babylonian, Babylonians probably would have been offended but they're all going to know what this means. We are God's people. What in God's name are we doing in exile in Babylon? How could this possibly have happened? And so it can't get much worse than this. But the message again is God is still in control and it's temporary.
