Even if people have the genetic gene where their absorption of folic acid is not as efficient, there are studies around neural tube defects. Because ovulatory amounts, the amount you need for lic acid for can, you can get quite a bit from your diet as well. So I would still choose that over methyl folate. It's early days for the studies around methyl folate to be swaying generations' worth of research done around folic acid.
