The Importance of Communication in a Community
In 2011 New York City had the sixth largest homeless population in the nation. There was duplication of services because agencies weren't aware that other agencies were doing the same thing there wasn't enough of certain services and recidivism was really high. The city held a community charrette to figure out how we could do better as a community. A lot of political will though which was great mostly you know it was competition we wanted to do better.
