The Difference Between a Boundary and Demand
How can we check that we're not the narcissist? Well, you see, I think it's the difference between a boundary and a demand. When we put a boundary in place, of course, the other person still has the option to adhere to that boundary or go elsewhere. Whereas a narcissist's demand doesn't allow for someone else to say no or choose not to. So demands is probably the word that I would use when I hear a narcissist put in place their quote unquote boundary. This is what I expect as opposed to this is what I'm willing to negotiate at and no further.
