Is There a Substance in the World?
I think the temptation to say that it's fundamentally different comes from this an idea that we got from the seventeenth century. It's embedded there in the material stuff in the first placemen. You could say it's not fundamentally different, because it's weare living in a material world and everything emerged from the material nature of the world some way or another. A but i think we should give up that idea of substance. Just accept the plurality of beings. That's rit. I don't want to accept it. I want to understandy.
