Vipassana Meditation
There is a lot of debate about whether meditation has lost its Buddhist anchors and maybe meditation teachers should think of a way to reconnect it back. The majority of people that I followed were interested in Vipassana because they found an alternative anchor to the self, no longer dependent on others or loved ones. So yeah, there is a product in which people are using a meditation that is supposed to lead to the insight of not self in order to gain an alternative sense of self. And this is very common to the difference fairs of meditation practice in the West.
