The Problem With Liberal Egalitarianism
The more fundamental problem for liberal egalitarianism is actually likely to be the family. And that's a tough one for people who are aiming at hierarchies in the future and income and wealth inequality. So you might actually be worse off in the position that you're in, because failing to achieve that goal puts you in a worse status than trying to achieve a more intermediate goal. But if you're doing it, if you're really working against what people are actually working hard towards, then they have a particular affinity with those kind of communities.
