The Effect of the Spanish Flu on the Navajo People
The Spanish flu pandemic in the early 1900s informed a lot of traditions and superstitions that we have now about our death practices. Now all these years later when we were facing yet another pandemic, how has that changed? Not much because people are still fearing it. And at a time like this where there's so much sadness and loss happening and yet we're still taking getting taken advantage of because of our fear. I was writing this or finished writing this during the pandemic as well.
