I love talking about the motivations for things but I love even more the talking about the mechanics and the tactics that they do. Tony Scott's a fascinating kind of figure that I'm sure we can talk about. There's so few movies that a director gets hired based on their commercial work. It's pretty wild that one of the most popular blockbuster films of all time. Also by the way critics pan this film. Top Gun gets really bad reviews. Tom Cruise like literally just like playing to himself down into Khan last year with Top Gun Maverick and they gave him a palm to ore for it. That fucking guy.
