What Is the Hermetic Belief?
Hegel's whole philosophy is built with this hermetic idea, which is derived from hermeticism. You can't know what you are without something to compare against. The divine creates the mundane, puts itself in a juxtaposition. When it finally realizes this, at the very and it becomes awareself, aware of itself being deity,. therefore seizes its kind of power as deity. That's when the lead turns into gold, the mundane becomes the divine. And so it goes.
