Challenges and Potential Success of Central Bank Digital Currencies

This chapter discusses the challenges faced by central banks in promoting their digital currencies and highlights the low adoption rates of China's digital yuan, Nigeria's e-Naira, and the Bahamian Sand Dollar. It emphasizes the importance of cooperation with the private sector for the success of central bank digital currencies, using the example of Cambodia's CBDC.
