Ray Charles's Early Career
Charles formed his own trio, the McSun Trio. He soon tired of running his own trio and went fully solo. Charles was introduced by Bump's Blackwell to Quincy Jones. His most important collaboration in his early career was with Lowell Fulsen. The Three Blazers were very much in the same style as the Nat Cole Trio.
