How to Encourage Agency in People

I think that what we lack is cultures of agency. I am a pretty strong believer that people are mimetic. And if you put them in environments where people are ambitious, they will become more ambitious. We don't have a lot of environments like that. Most of them are more kind of tailored to making people think in a certain way for maximal profit. That's what this entire industry runs on and what fuels and pays for all of our jobs.
