The Love of My Family

For me the story is about the sense of wanting to find where you belong. And that my friends is a yearning that I believe we all have in common. The sense that we are not alone on this journey is really important to me. Recently I was awarded by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences the first inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award for the new Emmys ceremony celebrating children's and family programming. As much as I protest because I believe that I am nowhere close to being done with my storytelling it has been an opportunity to reflect and to remind myself of just how much help I have had in my life that brings me to this particular moment.
