He got piled on because he just sort of stood thereyere, not seeing the ball. But i think also, when you miss that badly, like, people appreciate some eyewash. They want to see you make a little effort, even if it's largely for show. We find it silly, but sometimes, like, it's an important analgesic. It was one of the wildest baceball things i've ever seen.
