The History of the Cuban Adjustment Act

Bobby Kennedy and Dean Rusk were spat on, stones thrown at them in Latin America. The Cuban Adjustment Act created a procedure specifically for Cubans that allowed them to become permanent residents of the US after one year in the country. In Dallas, 1964, Jack Ruby was convicted for the murder of Lee Harvey Oswald. Dr. Jolly West emerged from Ruby's cell to announce that the previously sane inmate had undergone an acute psychotic break.
