Is There a Narrative in Wealth Management?
Good risk managers need a narrative. Increasingly, I think the wealth space is also trying to optimize for a greater extent on performance. You can't just be some black box and you don't have a clue of what's going into it. It's really human plus machine. The machine is doing what it can do best - taking in the data and putting into a sensible form. And the human is adding their experience, their insights,. common sense, a knowledge of the client to get a full picture.
