The Importance of Humor in Movies
The movie touches on misogyny, but not to the extent of course that we were reading about in the news every day. Now since the movie is coming out now as opposed to 2015 when it was written, I think people are filtering it through the lens of it being a kind of direct, you know, commentary on toxic masculinity. It lasted for years. And so yeah, that was a case where like the time that it took to come out kind of hurt the movie,. But obviously I don't mean to diminish the pain of the other people.
