Salvador, the Murder Capital of the World, Peaked at 103 Per 100,000 in 2015.
In 2015, El Salvador's murder rate peaked at 103 per 100,000. That is almost double that of the US Virgin Islands or Jamaica. In 2022, motives in El Salvador will drop to 7.8 for every 100,000 people. The U.S. as a whole remains more violent than any other country but less so than some states.
