The Effects of Local Opposition on the Economy

Lokim: In 19 34, when they ask people to sort of support the notion that hitler becomes a not just chancellor, but president. But interestingly, there are some places, like my birthplace, lubek, where a third of the population doesn't say yes. And you know, its it's not a free election. It's not fair, but it's mostly secret. You're encouraged to vote in public, but if you want to, you can vote in secret. So we think this is a strictaw bound on the level of opposition. We find pretty big effects. O this really changes the electoral preferences. Many fewer voters a vote against thenaze regime.
