How Much Body Weight Can You Expect to Gain if You Eat 456 Killer Calories Per Day?
Some people bring up the 3,500-killer calories equals 1 pound rule of thumb and expect you to gain 47.6 pounds per year or a comical 1,428 pounds by age 30. But that is not a good model because eventually your energy expenditure will catch up with your increased energy intake. Kevin Hall has a paper explaining a much better model, and a web-based tool implementing it. The average American adult gained 12 kilograms, or around 26.4 pounds, since the early 70s - way less than the 456 calorie number predicts.
