One of the elements that is, I don't know, maybe slightly more dated than the others is his treatment of her as a mute woman. The way he treats her and the way he's like, you've got to face up to your past and then you'll be fine. It's interesting because there's a lot of talk at the moment about horror and trauma. But it's always, horror has always been about trauma. And this film, I think, is a pretty clear cut example of that.
