30 S&P 500 companies have reported so far, according to facts that 27 of those have beaten the consensus earnings estimate. The typical beat rate is somewhere in the 75 to 80% range. For me really it's all about profit margins this this earnings season. But with expectations as low as they are, it's likely that we'll see more positive surprises and negative ones.
