The King James Version of the Bible
The King James Bible is a translation of the New Testament into English. It was created by William Tyndale, who died in 1831. But it began as an attempt to show off another scholar's work. A Dutch humanist named Desiderius Erasmus did this at the beginning of the 1500s. The two texts were put together so that they could be compared.
