The Procedurality of Roguelikes

I think the idea of adding procedurality by having cards that modify other cards where the computer that's creating the decks will just do that, his example with the witch was just so fascinating and what a brilliant idea. Those are things that just functionally won't work with the way that people understand cards and understand game rules and instructions. I feel like the stuff that he was talking about with like the witch that changes the card in your deck, that's exactly the same. It's this idea of like the computer putting these things together, it's not creating anything new, it's just layering things in a way that is totally unique.
