In 19 80, ginnis com ginnes seriously considered completely rebranding as an english drink and disssociating itself from irishness. Up until 19 39, if a protestant ginist worker wanted to marry a catholic, he had to resign from the company. They did not employ catholics. Ginnis has always been anti catholic, anti irish, independents. This drink that we think of as being the paddi's drink, the people making it were not paddies.
