The consumer price index in the US. fell from a year-on-year increase of 6.6% last month. That is a welcome improvement and comes just in time for the Fed, I think. Coincidentally, the tightening of monetary policy has seen the rising tide floats all boats' adage play out in reverse. The old quote-unquote boring Dow Jones index is getting close to a new all-time high - only another 8% to go. And with a well-known crypto exchange blowing up this week, we are once again reminded that with high returns come high risk.
