As they near the fourth hole Mark decides his time to broach the future of the pocket crystal but John beats him to it. "I want to spin the project off into its own company," he says. But there was a catch Apple's board wanted two other companies to join them as investors in general magic The American telecommunications company Motorola and the Japanese technology giant sony were among those who would have to sign up if General Magic wasn't going to happen.
