The fed not have a goal of getting to normal interest rates. They should get to high interest rates, but not in the future. The time to move slow is over. Maybe the fed could have moved slowly a couple of years ago had they acted peremptirely. But they choseNot to try to put the jenie back in the bottle after it was out. If you acknowledge an inflation problem, and you don't drag your feet in normalizing rates, or moving rates from artificially low to appropriately high. You do it right away.
