Kyrie, Do Not Sign That Extension

I think the Lakers were worried. The two year, the two year 78. And to be clear, that's all Kyrie could sign for. There's a bunch of different reasons why you'd want Kyrie on that extension, one of which is it's below market value. But the Lakers were in a position where living with the scars of the Westbrook trade where they painted themselves into an absolute corner. Now they're sort of tiptoeing against the wall, trying to get out of it. They couldn't repaint themselves into a corner again.
