The Judaism of the Middle Ages

Judaism is i unlike, i think, christian mystic m and islamming mistiism. It's much more practically oriented as a form of mysticism than it is experientially. Judaism has never really got on that train. And part of the reason why is that a god is ultimately unknowable. The task is not so union with the divine as much as it is to the repair of the world.
