The Context of Toilet Symbols

The symbol for toilet at airports is becoming controversial as it's often not gender neutral. I actually give my students this exercise in class where they actually have to redesign the toilet symbol. And it's funny how people, sooner or later realize that that toilet symbol is actually not the symbol of a toilet. It's a people symbol. So, there are good examples of the toilet symbols about context and interpretation.
