The Evidence of Life in the Universe

i'm always down to be proven wrong it happens i don't have any go with that shit so if they were to say here's the evidence this is a thing and it was real i'd be like whoa. If we discovered ai was monitoring us in case the aliens came back or whatever wouldn't we as a species be prepared for that? It would also bring the question is like is life rare in the universe then but it also like a lot of that also goes against why they would hide it.
