The Primacy of Rome

The letter of Clement taken on itself is not a slam dunk for the primacy of Peter as Catholics understand it. But I think there's a good precedent for Montepiscopacy even before the new covenant. If that had been a lay establishment, you better believe there would have been rebellion at the time. There's plenty of evidence as kind of a peaceful handing on of the apostolic tradition regarding the structure of the church.
