The identity management system eventually probably has you showing up at a bank teller and showing them documentation. The more you have to do to establish your identity, the bigger a ramp there is. It's a trade off. Folks don't like multi factor if they're trying to sell things. On the other hand, you can't really accept the payment without knowing who's providing it.
