Coming to terms with your own reluctance is just understanding how difficult it is to be alive, really. If you have no sense of humour, you don't stand much of a chance in relationship. So if i am reluctant to be on stage, and yet i know that my work involves that kind of visibility, i got to really pay attention to all the ways i don't want to be there. And then this wonderful dynamic starts to occur, which the greeks addressed - they had a specific name for it: nantio dromea.
